MadrEat Street Food Festival

In such a capital city bustling with charm, elegance, culture and fantastic food havens neatly placed around it, how can one get to know it all? So many hip and happening neighbourhoods dotted around – Malasaña, Chueca, Lavapies, Chamberi…. the choice is yours. All these areas boast a healthy collection of amazing eateries.

“Oh, if only I knew them all and if I could go to them all…,” laments one. “If only there existed a place where these neighbourhoods and their eateries could, just for one time, come together and bathe us in their glory of choice and selection.”

MadrEat answers this wish of one so many Madrideans and the visitors to the city. Not only is MadrEat a collection of the must visit restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and cafes around the city, it goes a step further and brings them to you in the most exciting of formats – foodtrucks serving street food. The electrifying atmosphere is topped up with tons of people, freely drinking cocktails, beers, sangria, you name it; sheltered under the many trees of AZCA Centre/Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso. To have a collection of one favourites restaurants and to discover new ones that one might otherwise not have, is surely a marvellous opportunity that one dares miss.

To make the most of this event, it is highly recommended to take with you an empty stomach, sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothing and a healthy appetite. As you enter the event’s venue, get yourself a site map which easily shows you which eateries are present and their location. The guide will even give you some recommendations based on eateries with Michelin Stared Chefs and those restaurants Repsol recommended.
